Mental health therapy is a transformative tool that supports you in managing and overcoming life’s challenges.

It allows you to explore emotions, understand behaviors, and develop healthy coping strategies to help you feel more balanced, confident, and in control of your mind and emotions.

Summit at Harmony Oaks offers a range of therapy options designed to meet your unique needs. We help you find lasting relief and gain valuable skills for improved mental well-being.

About Mental Health Therapy

Mental health therapy offers a safe space to explore, understand, and change the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that impact your life.

If you’re seeking support for anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder, or other mental health conditions, mental health therapy can make a big difference in your life. It can help you build the skills you need to manage difficult symptoms, heal from past trauma, and regain control over your life.

At Summit at Harmony Oaks, our expert team offers evidence-based therapies as part of our treatment plans that are personalized to your needs. We’re here to guide you toward healing, resilience, and wellness with compassion and expertise.

Mental Health Therapies at Summit at Harmony Oaks

We offer various therapies as part of our mental health treatment that are customized to target your mental health needs, challenges, and goals. Therapy is led by licensed therapists, and sessions are held in-person in an individual or group format.

Our available therapies include:

12 Step Facilitation Therapy

This structured therapy introduces you to the principles of the 12-step program, often used in addiction recovery.

By participating in this approach, you gain accountability, community support, and practical strategies for managing stress, cravings, and other challenges.

This can be especially helpful if you’re dealing with substance use disorders alongside mental health issues.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) gives you a trusted framework to identify and change negative thought patterns that affect your emotions and behavioral health. This therapy is effective for managing several conditions, like anxiety disorders, depression, and mood disorders.

Through CBT, you learn to challenge harmful thoughts and replace them with constructive, empowering ones, helping you build resilience and better handle daily stress.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy

Similarly, we also offer dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). This is a form of psychotherapy, or talk therapy, that’s based on CBT.

Through DBT, you will learn how to manage your intense motions and work toward positive life changes.

Trauma Recovery/EMDR

Trauma recovery is an important part of healing, especially for those affected by post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other trauma-related symptoms.

Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy helps you process and heal from traumatic events by reducing the power these memories hold over you. EMDR is designed to help you find peace and regain a sense of security and control safely with your therapist.

Individual Therapy

In one-on-one therapy sessions, you work directly with a therapist to address your unique challenges and personal goals. This type of therapy allows for focused, personalized care, helping you tackle mental health conditions in a confidential setting.

Individual therapy gives you the opportunity to explore deeper issues and build skills that promote positive change.

Family Counseling

Family therapy can be incredibly beneficial when mental health issues impact family dynamics. This therapy involves family therapists leading loved ones in the healing process, helping to improve communication, rebuild trust, and create a supportive environment at home.

Family counseling also provides your family members with tools and guidance on how to support you in your healing journey.

Group Therapy

Group therapy offers a supportive space to share experiences with others who are also navigating mental health challenges. By connecting with peers, you reduce feelings of isolation and gain insights from people who understand your journey.

Led by licensed clinicians, support groups build a sense of community, fostering encouragement and understanding.

Wellness Workshops

Wellness workshops at Summit at Harmony Oaks focus on building healthy habits that support mental well-being. Topics may include stress management, self-care practices, and strategies for enhancing mindfulness.

These workshops provide practical tools to help you maintain mental and physical health beyond therapy sessions, supporting a balanced lifestyle.

Mental Health Education

Understanding mental health conditions and the recovery process can empower you to make informed decisions about your care.

Mental health education sessions cover topics related to coping strategies, symptom management, and reducing stigma around mental health. This can help you feel more confident and proactive in your healing journey.

Mindfulness Meditation

Mindfulness meditation encourages present-moment awareness, which can help reduce anxiety, improve focus, and support emotional balance.

This practice allows you to observe thoughts and emotions without judgment, giving you greater control over how you respond to stress and daily challenges.

Adventure Therapy

Adventure therapy uses outdoor activities like hiking, team-building exercises, and other nature-based experiences to promote mental wellness.

Engaging in adventure therapy helps you build confidence, develop social skills, and manage stress in a unique, supportive environment.

Music Therapy

Music therapy helps you use rhythm, melody, and sound as an outlet for processing and expressing emotions. This technique is beneficial for mood regulation and stress relief, providing a creative way to work through difficult or complex feelings.

Yoga Therapy

Yoga therapy combines physical movement with mindfulness and breathing exercises, promoting relaxation and mental clarity.

Yoga is especially helpful for reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression, as well as improving physical health and flexibility. This makes it a holistic addition to your mental health care.

Mental Health Programs That Feature Therapy

We offer different levels of care to address your mental health needs on your terms.

Residential Treatment

This intensive, full-time program provides 24/7 support with daily therapy sessions and structured activities.
Residential treatment offers a fully immersive environment that allows you to step away from everyday stressors and focus entirely on recovery. It is ideal if you need comprehensive, round-the-clock care to stabilize and heal.

Outpatient Treatment

Outpatient programs offer therapy sessions with professional counselors while allowing you to live at home. We provide both intensive outpatient programs (IOP) and partial hospitalization programs (PHP), giving you the flexibility to maintain responsibilities outside of treatment.

Here’s what these programs offer:

  • Intensive outpatient programs: The IOP program is more flexible, designed for those who need regular, ongoing support but don’t require full-time care. With therapy sessions held several times a week, IOP allows you to maintain work or family responsibilities while actively participating in treatment. This program provides an excellent option for patients with stable home environments that support their healing journey.
  • Partial hospitalization programs: PHP is more structured than IOP, providing therapy sessions five days a week for several hours each day. It offers a level of support that falls between residential treatment and IOP, ideal for those who need more intensive help than IOP but don’t require 24-hour care.

Dual Diagnosis

For those facing both a mental health condition and substance use disorder, our dual diagnosis program treats both conditions together.

This approach acknowledges that each condition impacts the other and provides therapy tailored to managing symptoms of mental health while recovering from substance abuse.

Cost of Mental Health Therapy

The cost of mental health therapy varies depending on the type of treatment and level of care required. We work with many insurance providers to make therapy more accessible and offer payment options to fit different financial needs.

Our admissions team is here to help you navigate your options and find a solution that works for you.
